What is Chuck Wagon?

The Chuck Wagon Derby is a Cub Scout competition that involves Cub Scouts of mixed ranks pulling and pushing a covered wagon to stations that are geared to their age groups.

Questions are chosen from the Cub handbooks and cover a variety of topics and teamwork. The goal is to have an event that is fun and educational, alligning closely with the aims and methods of Cub Scouting. It also can be used by the Cub Scouts to build self-esteem and teamwork. The Chuck Wagon Derby symbolizes what scouting is all about, team work, Scout knowledge and having fun, while learning in the outdoors.

Please download the LEADER GUIDE or MAYOR'S GUIDE for more details and event schedule.
